John Kidd (American football)

Max John Kidd (born August 22, 1961 in Springfield, Illinois) is a former professional American football punter in the National Football League. He played fifteen seasons for the Buffalo Bills, the San Diego Chargers, the Miami Dolphins, the Detroit Lions and the New York Jets. John Kidd was the highest selected punter in Bills history. The Bills chose him in the fifth round of the 1984 NFL Draft from Northwestern University. He was the starting quarterback and punter at Findlay High School, from which he graduated in 1980.
John Kidd was a first team All-Big Ten and first team all American in college and won the Big Ten Medal of Honor.〔(Northwestern Football 2010 Media Guide ), NU Sports, 2010.〕 He continues to hold the career punting average record for his college alma mater, Northwestern (41.8), where he also holds the single-season average (45.6).

As of 2008, Kidd was running his own telecommunication company and, at one point, engaged to Los Angeles weatherforecaster and television personality, Jackie Johnson.〔("The Soup Cans Interview: Jackie Johnson," ) ''Soup Cans'' (July 15, 2008).〕 John Hartung was sitting with Jackie Johnson at an LA Laker Game on January 8, 2012 (710am radio) and Hartung said, "Jackie is married to an ex-football player." On July 15 2008 8:37 AM, Kevin Roderick, of LA Obeserved, interviewed Jackie Johnson and Johnson said she is getting married next June to former NFL player John Kidd.
